By Max Drake Automation, Coding/Programming  0 Comments
How do you compile a set of files , so that if you run an install it can locate files in different directories to run. I’m thinking of trying to setup some sort of prototyping for some scripts. I would like to send a copy to clients to test run, but I only want the

By Max Drake AutoHotKey, Automation, Productivity, Web  0 Comments
I’ve a few bookmarklets that I think are great, but I don’t use as frequently as I would like to because I forget they are there to be used. A bit of an issue with me, I find interesting things but forget to use them sufficiently to get the most out of them. So they

Programmatically closing programs with hotkeys to AutoHotKey hidden scripts

By Max Drake AutoHotKey, Automation, Productivity  0 Comments
I’ve been battling to get MaxLauncher buttons that run hotkeys. MaxLauncher is a program launcher that pops up on the screen and I looks like a keyboard. You can assign a file or folder to a key on the virtual keyboard. So if you want to send a hotkey, say Ctrl+W to a program, say

By Max Drake AutoHotKey, Automation, Productivity  0 Comments
I was really exited when I found this program launcher as it has the same interface as my Stream Deck. So COOL!!! But, with stream deck I can close programs as well with hotkeys assigned to a button. That is great as I don’t have to remember the hotkey, all I have to do is

AutoIt, is it worth investing time on? After AHK?

By Max Drake Automation  0 Comments
I’m looking at AutoIt as alternative to AutoHotKey and there are some things its better at apparently but they are not made too clear in my opinion after some searching on the interwongle. It seems to be more accepted by businesses and also seems to get a lot more malware hits as its used to

By Max Drake Automation, Productivity  0 Comments
I came across the first app and thought about my open tabs AutoHotKey script and thought that it could be replicated quite easily by non coders with Auto Starter X4, and thought that would make a good video for Free Productivity Video playlist. About

I am an architect, building services designer, structural draughter, educator & developer.

My current area of interest is in exploringย  Asset & Facilities Management tools based on capturing information at Design/Construction phase for use throughout the life of the building. Tools I am using are open-source or common programmes to allow maximum accessibility to the information both in geometric and data format.
